Brighton Storage – Cost effective solutions

He-Van Movers of the Universe offer an affordable Brighton storage container solution suited for mid to long-term storage and for those customers that don’t require access to their belongings whilst using our Brighton storage services.

We have three sites across the Brighton area, from Woodingdean to Brighton Marina to Steyning, offering 250 cubic feet wooden containers housed in a modern, dry and secured warehouse and 20-foot shipping containers which have been treated internally to stop damp and moisture affecting stored items.

If you are a homeowner needing a stop gap, a rental tenant or a local Brighton business and require Brighton storage facilities and the collection and unloading of your belongings as well as the redelivery of your items, look no further, He-Van can assist you every step of the way!

Customers using our Brighton storage facilities should note that if they require access during their storage period, a fee of £70 + vat per access will be charged. However, this charge will not apply at the end of your storage period when your unit/s are emptied. If you want to remove items yourself when your storage ends, He-Van will need to be there to open your container/s and we will charge a fee of £50 + vat.

If you require regular access to your items, then a self-storage centre may be more beneficial to your needs. Brighton storage containers – How does it work?

Our wooden Brighton storage containers are situated in Woodingdean, on the outskirts of Brighton, in a purpose-built secure warehouse.

Each wooden container is 35 square feet / 250 cubic feet, which is the approximate equivalent of four double beds with divan bases on top of each other. The approximate dimensions of each container are Height 2.24m (88″), Length 2.1m (83″), Width 1.4m (58″).

Once unloaded, all items are packed securely into the Brighton storage container. Any items that could potentially get scratched or scuffed are protected with blankets. These units are then sealed shut and forklifted, high up and out of harm’s way.

Items that are too large for our wooden Brighton storage containers, like ladders, and long carpets are labelled and racked (shelved), and items such as sofas are wrapped, labelled, and stored on racks to avoid potential pressure damage. Racking is a chargeable cost in addition to the container cost.

When you are ready to remove your belongings from the Brighton storage, you just need to contact He-Van and give one week’s notice. The office can then work with you to find a suitable date and time to remove your items to your new destination.

Each wooden container unit costs just £22 per week plus insurance. Discounts are available if more than 1 container is required or if you require Brighton storage for more than six months.

You will need to add fire Insurance to protect your consignment. He-Van would need to know an approximate value of your consignment and an inventory will need to be supplied by yourself in advance by email. The cost of fire insurance is £1.29 per £1000 of cover per week.

There is a minimum 2-week charge per container.

Brighton shipping containers

In addition to our wooden containers, we also have 20-foot metal shipping containers which have been treated to protect stored items from the elements of nature. Depending on availability, you can hire these containers in their entirety or as shared storage with other customers.
